Headmaster
Robert C. McCready
Mr. McCready is a native of Cambridge, Maryland and formerly served as Executive Pastor of Covenant Church in Charlottesville, Virginia. He earned a Master of Arts degree from The Church of God Theological Seminary in Church Ministry with an emphasis in counseling and received a B.S. in Pastoral Ministry from Lee University. He is currently a student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary working on a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership and is a member at South Cleveland Church of God. Mr. McCready and his wife, Nicole, have three children: Seth, Sophia and Elijah.
Faculty
Randy Brock
Mr. Brock, a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences (class rank 5 of 208) and the University of Tennessee Executive Development Program, is a retired Lieutenant with the United States Coast Guard. He also retired form twenty-six years of service to Bowater’s Calhoun operations plant. Most recently he has served as an ACT exam coach and mathematics tutor. He is married with two adult children and attends First Baptist Church. Mr. Brock will be teaching upper-level math and related courses.
Travis Haun
Mr. Haun, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a B.A. in Anthropology, has recently served as the Curator of Exhibits and Educational Programming at the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum. He is skilled in history, science, art and religious studies. Mr. Haun attends Central Baptist Church in Athens where he teaches 5th and 6th grade Sunday School. He is married with two children, one a toddler and one enrolled in third grade at Christ’s Legacy Academy. Mr. Haun will be teaching in the grammar school.
Missy Millard
Mrs. Millard, a cum laude graduate of Carson-Newman College with a B.A. in Biology, most recently served as a biology teacher at Cross Creek Christian School in Sweetwater, TN. She is also President of New Beginnings Garden Club in Decatur, TN and attends Clearwater Baptist Church. She is married with two school-aged daughters who are enrolled at Christ’s Legacy Academy. Mrs. Millard will be teaching in the grammar school.
Samuel J. Olsen, D.Min.
Dr. Olsen earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in missions at Temple Baptist Seminary. He is also a graduate of Cedarville University with a B.A. in English, and Grace Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity degree. He comes to Christ’s Legacy Academy with 20 years of Christian education, pastoral and teaching experience. He is married with two adult children and attends Walden’s Ridge Baptist Church. Dr. Olsen will be teaching upper level English, Bible and related subjects.
Emily Sitzler
Miss Sitzler is a 2010 graduate of Bryan College with a B.S. in elementary education. She is certified both through the state of Tennessee and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) to teach in all subject areas for K – 6th grade. She is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Athens, a volunteer and Full Circle Women’s Services and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in teaching.
