Headmaster

Robert C. McCready, Ph.D.

Dr. McCready is a native of Cambridge, Maryland and formerly served as Executive Pastor of Covenant Church in Charlottesville, Virginia.  He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also is a graduate from The Church of God Theological Seminary in Church Ministry with an emphasis in counseling and received a B.S. in Pastoral Ministry from Lee University. He is the Pastor of Cornerstone Family Church in Cleveland.  Dr. McCready and his wife, Nicole, have four children: Seth, Sophia, Elijah and Ethan.

Randy Brock

Mr. Brock, a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences (high honors) and the University of Tennessee Executive Development Program, is a retired Lieutenant from the United States Coast Guard. He also retired after twenty-six years of service with Bowater’s Calhoun operations. Most recently he has served as an ACT exam coach and mathematics tutor. He is married with two adult children and attends First Baptist Church. Mr. Brock teaches Math and Latin.


Travis Haun

Mr. Haun, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a B.A. in Anthropology, formerly served as the Curator of Exhibits and Educational Programming at the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum.  He is skilled in history, science, art and religious studies.  Mr. Haun is an active member of Central Baptist Church in Athens.  He is married with three children, a newborn, a toddler and one enrolled in fifth grade at Christ’s Legacy Academy.  Mr. Haun teaches History, P.E. and in the Logic school.


Missy Millard

Mrs. Millard, a cum laude graduate of Carson-Newman College with a B.A. in Biology, formerly served as a Biology teacher at Cross Creek Christian School in Sweetwater, TN. She had also worked as an Environmental Specialist with the State of Tennessee. Mrs. Millard had served as an alderman for the Town of Decatur. She attends Clearwater Baptist Church. She is married with two school-aged daughters who are currently enrolled at Christ’s Legacy Academy. Mrs. Millard will be teaching sciences in the grammar school. She is currently enrolled at Carson-Newman College, working on her MEd in Curriculum & Instruction.


Samuel J. Olsen, D.Min.

Dr. Olsen earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in missions at Temple Baptist Seminary. He is also a graduate of Cedarville University with a B.A. in English, and Grace Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity degree. He comes to Christ’s Legacy Academy with 20 years of Christian education, pastoral and teaching experience. He is married with two adult children and Pastors Concord Union Church in Evensville, TN.  Dr. Olsen teaches Latin, Bible and Grammar courses.


Brittany Duggan

Mrs. Duggan is a native of Athens.  She received her B.S. in Music Education from Bryan College and is currently working on her Master’s of Education in Classroom Teaching from Lee University.  Before coming to CLA, she taught music at Etowah City School.  She and her husband, John, have a baby girl named Lauren.  They are active members of First Baptist Church in Athens and they both play in the orchestra.  Mrs. Duggan is also gifted in piano and bass.  She teaches in the Grammar school, Music, Drama and related subjects.


Judy Sitzler

Mrs. Sitzler received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Tennessee Wesleyan College. Before coming to CLA, she taught 19 years in the public school system and 10 years in Christian schools.  She and her husband, Keith, have an adult daughter named Emily.  They are active members of First Baptist Church in Athens.  Mrs. Sitzler teaches in the Grammar school.


Leah Cooksey

Ms. Cooksey is a native of Charleston, South Carolina.  She received her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Wesleyan College. Ms. Cooksey was awarded a scholarship at TWC for soccer, was the TWC Choir President and Yearbook Editor. Before coming to CLA, she worked 3 years in the Athens City School system.  She is a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church where she is actively involved in various areas of ministry.  Ms. Cooksey teaches our Kindergarten class.


Beverly Dake

Mrs. Dake is our full-time administrative assistant. She is a native of Evensville, TN and is a member of the Gideon Auxillary. Before coming to CLA, Mrs. Dake had 16 years of previous administrative assistant experience. She and her husband Chuck are active members of Clearwater Baptist Church.


Tammy Keylon

Mrs. Keylon is our part-time administrative assistant. She is a native of Athens. Before coming to CLA, Mrs. Keylon worked as an administrative assistant for a local church and 11 years as a Senior Office Assistant for Denso Manufacturing. She and her husband Dak have a son, Matthew, who is currently enrolled as a 4th grader at CLA.
