Keeping Christ Centered

by Dr. Arnold

In unprecedented numbers, young people are leaving the Christian faith.

A 2019 study conducted by Lifeway Christian Resources found that 66% of American young adults who attended a Protestant church regularly for at least a year as a teenager said they dropped out for at least a year between the ages of 18-22.

Heartbroken parents are left wondering what can be done. It doesn’t have to be that way.

In 2018-2019 a comparative study commissioned by the Association of Classical Christian schools in partnership with Notre Dame University surveyed 24–42-year-old alumni from public, secular private, Catholic, evangelical Christian, religious homeschool, and ACCS (classical Christian) schools on topics of life-choices, preparation, attitudes, values, opinions, and practices.

This research seems to confirm what history has repeatedly demonstrated—classical Christian education can influence the course of a home, a community, or a nation.  This is especially true when it comes to staying committed to their Christian faith.

Overwhelmingly, ACCS grads continue to seek and serve the Lord long after graduation. Why?

At Christ’s Legacy Academy, we believe one part of the solution is to leverage the more than 16,000 hours students are in school to shape their soul as well as their mind. We believe that life was never meant to be divided into sections, keeping Christ on the edges. We believe Christ is Lord of all of life, and He is meant to be at the center of it all.

That is why we are just as determined to pass on our faith as we are math facts.

If you are tired of reading stories of students forsaking the faith, come be a part of the solution. Call us today at 423-649-0040 and begin your family’s journey toward multi-generational faithfulness.
