Robert Ellis

Mr. Ellis graduated from William Carey University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 2003 and from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Master of Arts Degree in History in 2005. He taught for the Pascagoula-Gautier School District for 7 years before moving to Athens, TN, eleven years ago from the Mississippi Gulf Coast when he married his wife, Crissy Ellis. Since then, he has continued teaching history courses for Cleveland State Community College, including dual-enrollment classes at both Meigs and Polk County High Schools. He and his wife have a 7 year old son, R.J., who attends CLA. They are members of East Niota Baptist Church where Mr. Ellis teaches the adult Sunday School Classes. In total, he has taught middle school, high school, and college level students for 18 years. He enjoys watching football, reading, listening to 80s music, and sci-fi movies - especially Star Wars!
